This course will introduce the learner to Regulation AA and the Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) Act. The learner will be instructed on the provisions and prohibitions enacted under Regulation AA. After completing this program, the learner will understand:
- How confessions of judgment occur.
- What third-party relationships are considered UDAAPs.
- What constitutes a UDAAP.
Course Topics
T1. Regulation AA: This topic will introduce the learner to Regulation AA, which implements the Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices Act, and will describe the Dodd-Frank Act, complaints, prohibitions, and more.
T2. UDAAP Act: This topic will review Unfair, Deceptive, and Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) and will discuss prohibitions, violations, standards, unfairness, and deception.
T3. UDAAP Third Party: This topic will define third-party relationships and describe prohibitions against UDAAPs found in the Federal Trade Commission as well as affiliated and unaffiliated third parties, and third-party relationship analysis.
T4. UDAAP Issues: This topic will discuss subprime products and lending, which involves the extension of credit to borrowers who may be among the more economically defenseless or less financially refined, and will touch upon unfair or deceptive case analysis, joint guidance, and more.
