Course Topics
E-Sign Act: This topic will inform the reader about the E-Sign Act, which provides a general rule of validity for electronic records and signatures for transactions in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce.
Consumer Consent: This topic will discuss the six steps of the consumer consent process dictated under the E-Sign Act, including assessing the availability of paper delivery or copies, consent choices, consumer actions, hardware/software requirements, affirmative consent, and “after consent” disclosure.
E-Sign Implementation: This topic will detail the statutes and regulations affected by the E-Sign Act, including those that impose requirements for contract formation and record retention.
