IFC Co-organises International Seminar with ICC Paris on ICC Rules for Trade at ICC Headquarters
In a unique event organised by ICC and IFC, The ICC Rules for Trade workshop comprised of a series of focused presentations on best practices in structuring trade finance products to support trade to and from emerging markets. A central focus was the correct application of ICC Rules as an integral part of such trade finance products and operations. This practical case oriented workshop provided a practical value-added dimension for participants.
This workshop was chaired by Vincent O’Brien and delivered by trade finance professionals who have significant experience in trade finance operations in emerging and developing markets.
The core focus of the workshop was the Internationally recognised and respected rules and codes of practice established by the International Chamber of Commerce, namely
the Uniform Customs & Practice for Documentary Credits; Uniform Rules for Collections; Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees; International Standard Banking Practices and the International Standby Practices.
