This course will introduce the learner to the retail team, its role at the organization, and all of the products and services that it offers. The course will familiarize the learner with departments and services such as retail credit, account services, and vault services. In addition, the topics in this course will also focus on checking and savings accounts and other retail services. After completing this course, the learner will understand:
- What the retail management team is and how it works.
- The details of each of the products and services that the organization offers.
- How to provide efficient service to customers.
T1. The Retail Management Team: This topic will introduce the learner to the retail management team by providing a brief overview of important positions, such as president/CEO, vice presidents, treasurer/CFO, and Compliance officer.
T2. The Retail Credit Department: This topic will familiarize the learner with the retail credit department and the positions that it is comprised of, like lending executive, loan officer, and loan processor.
T3. Branches: This topic will familiarize the learner with the positions that make up the financial institution's branch team, including branch manager, customer service representative, and tellers.
T4. Management Support: This topic will familiarize the learner with the roles and responsibilities of the management support team, which is made up of Risk Management, Human Resources, purchasing, and administrative support.
T5. Account Services: This topic will familiarize the learner with the role of account services at the financial institution and the departments that it is comprised of, which includes Account Reconciliation and Fraud Prevention.
T6. Vault Services: This topic will familiarize the learner with the vault services department, which processes deposits, and the positions that it is comprised of, such as the cash vault manager and the coin and currency clerk.
T7. Overview of Retail Products: This topic will provide the learner with an overview of the ways in which customers are able to make deposits, in addition to common products and services, like checking and savings accounts, IRAs, and various types of loans.
T8. Savings Accounts: This topic will focus on savings accounts by describing the different types offered by the financial institution, such as basic savings or Money Market Accounts, and how these accounts function.
T9. Checking Accounts: This topic will discuss checking accounts, and will identify the different types available to customers
T10. IRAs: This topic will expand upon Individual Retirement Accounts, including its features and benefits, and the different types available to customers.
T11. Credit: This topic will focus on defining credit for the learner and familiarizing him/her with the various loan accounts offered by the financial institution, including mortgage and home equity loans.
T12. Trust Services: This topic will provide an overview of the trust services offered by many financial institutions, including personal trust services, investment management services, equity services, and more.
T13. Business Accounts: This topic will familiarize the learner with the various services and accounts offered by the financial institution for businesses, including lock box services, Automated Clearing Houses (ACHs), and employee payroll services.
T14. Additional Retail Services: This topic will address the additional products and services that the retail team of the financial team offers, which can include overdraft protection, debit and ATM cards, and direct deposit, among others.
