Regulation D: Reserve Requirements

This course will introduce the learner to the ways in which Regulation D establishes the minimum balance requirement that must be maintained in reserve accounts. The learner will also be instructed on the details of Regulation D's relationship with the Monetary Control Act. After completing this program, the learner will understand:
- The purposes of Regulation D and the Monetary Control Act.
- Which depository institutions are covered under Regulation D.
- Deposit accounts, as defined under Regulation D.
Course Topics
T1. Regulation D: This topic will introduce the learner to Regulation D, which determines the institutions that are covered, defines the types of deposits covered and not covered, and sets reserve requirements for institutions.
T2. Accounts: This topic will detail the different characteristics of various types of deposit accounts and will provide limitations and restrictions for each.
