This course will include information on the history and development of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). This course will provide a brief overview of the various types of IRAs that exist, and will provide a list of frequently asked questions that the learner should be able to answer. After completing this program, the learner will be able to:
- Answer any questions that customers may have concerning IRAs.
- Understand how the IRAs have been shaped by previous legislation.
- Use different reports to fulfill reporting requirements to the IRS.
Course Topics
T1. Introduction to IRAs: This topic will provide a brief overview of some common Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) available to customers, with a look at their distribution and contribution requirements.
T2. History of IRAs: This topic will outline the history of IRAs by identifying key pieces of legislation which have shaped the IRA of today.
T3. Frequently Asked Questions: This course will analyze key questions that customers frequently have concerning IRAs, and will provide appropriate answers for each.
T4. IRA Reporting: This topic will discuss important reporting requirements that affect the learner, the customer, and the financial institution as a whole.
