Course Outline
Seat time: 1.5 hrs
This course will introduce the learner to different aspects of cybersecurity. The course will define cybersecurity and discuss cybercrimes and other regulations that protect institutions from cyber attacks. After completing this course, the learner will understand:
- How to protect the organization against cybercrimes.
- The role of various institutions in cybersecurity and how cybersecurity programs should be implemented at the institution.
- The different cybersecurity situations that may arise.
Course Topics
T1 Cyber Terrorism, Warfare, and Espionage: This topic will detail the many aspects of cyber terrorism, cyber espionage, and cyber warfare, including the different goals and categories of each.
T2 Other Cybersecurity Situations: This topic will explore the cyberspace domain, and other syntactic and semantic cybersecurity situations that may arise.
T3 Case Studies Cybersecurity: This topic will discuss the various case studies and cybersecurity situations that have arisen in previous years that merit deeper analysis and understanding.
T4 Protecting the Organization: This topic will outline the various methods and standards that are in place, and the numerous processes and practices that may aid in protecting the organization from cyberattacks.
T5 Federal Countermeasures: This topic will describe the methods by which the government and a variety of organizations are strengthening the cybersecurity of the nation.
T6 Internet of Things: The purpose of this topic is to explore and explain how the electronic information from everyday devices, enabling them to send and receive data within the organization is protected against cyberattacks.
