eBSI Supply Chain Academy

Introducing the eBSI Supply Chain Academy: Practical Learning from Procurement to Delivery

The electronic Business School of Ireland has launched the eBSI Supply Chain Academy to bring related operational subjects together in one dedicated learning hub. The Academy connects existing courses in supply chain management, procurement, inventory, logistics, transport and process improvement, helping learners see how these responsibilities fit together.

Why bring these subjects together?

A customer experiences the result of a supply chain as a complete service. The customer expects the right goods to arrive in the right condition and at the agreed time. Achieving that result depends on decisions made well before a vehicle leaves a warehouse. Supplier selection, purchasing information, stock availability, packing and transport arrangements all influence the outcome.

Professionals often develop experience within one function while having limited visibility of the others. A purchasing officer may understand supplier prices but have less experience of transport constraints. A logistics coordinator may understand shipment movements but need a clearer picture of inventory decisions. The Academy provides routes into both the wider system and individual specialist subjects.

Choose a starting point that matches your role

For a broad foundation, explore Introduction to Supply Chain Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. These are useful starting points before moving into a more focused area.

People working with purchasing and suppliers can explore Purchasing and Procurement Basics and Managing Suppliers and Vendors. Those responsible for stock can consider Inventory Management: The Nuts and Bolts. Professionals involved in shipments can explore International Transport & Logistics, International Modes of Transport, Marine Transport and Dangerous Goods Safety and Handling.

A structured route into export logistics

The Certificate in Export Logistics offers a practical introduction to export logistics processes and procedures. It sits alongside individual courses so that learners can choose between a specific subject and a broader programme. Review the programme page for its syllabus, assessment and certification details before enrolling.

Connect learning with a real operational challenge

A useful way to choose training is to start with a recurring workplace problem. Repeated stock shortages may suggest a need to review inventory knowledge. Frequent supplier misunderstandings may point towards procurement or supplier management. Uncertainty about shipment arrangements may make transport and logistics learning the immediate priority.

Visit the Logistics & Supply Chain Management course collection for the current selection, or return to the Academy welcome page for learning pathways and frequently asked questions. Each product page gives current pricing and the details of the individual course.
