Learning Unit Summary

There are two basic forms of finance of international trade transactions: import finance and export finance. Both can be performed in the currency of the exporter (for example, Euros) or in any other fully convertible currency agreed by both parties. In the second case the company assumes certain risks as to the difference in exchange rates, however, it can also profit from trading in another currency if there is a rise in the value of the foreign currency. Financial transactions in international trade can be performed in the currency of the exporter, in the currency of the importer or in a third currency.

International Trade courses

Testimonials

  • review12International Trade can be a difficult subject to teach especially to someone like myself, not having had exams since my leaving cert 16 years ago but because of the expert panel, the fully interactive media and the fact I could work in a time that suited me - that made studying so much easier.

  • I recommend Thomas and the work he has developed on the ITS program. I took the program about two years ago and it is a very well designed program which will give a sound knowledge on Export Market, E-commerce, Finance. It is very flexible and with a lot of support and a virtual campus where you can bring comments into it or enter the forum and read other users comments and discussions.
It is a home-based program which you can follow on your own time.
I really recommend the program to anybody interested in Export and the different issues around it.

  • test-lrylovaI much appreciate ITS Accreditation Programme. I learnt a lot of things which were new for me. The teaching method and the structure of presentation of the studied material are both very good and convenient for students. And also I appreciate very good attitude of the tutors towards students that really helps to get over the difficulties. I'm sure that the Certificate will help me in my future career.

  • test-vgrabI have no doubt that my attendance at EBSI was an exiting but most of all a very useful experience. The course complimented my more theoretical third level studies. I liked the way the topics were taught and these practical methods (especially the graphical representations) made issues clearer and more accessible to the learner. The evaluation techniques were very well developed. I especially appreciated the ways the Incoterms were explained and the Online sessions.
In conclusion I can say that it was a very, very useful experience for me... especially that the ITS Accreditation compliments so well my Academy diploma!
Thanks a lot for that wonderful opportunity!!!

  • testmilosdukatI am writing this feedback to thank to all team of eBSI for the work they do and to tell those interested in ITS Programme how beneficial it is not just to enlarge your professional knowledge but also to start a new business career. ITS course was my first step into the international trade world. After absolving that course and with my knowledge of languages I got a job as an export manager in Spain. What I highly appreciate on the ITS course is that you can get from this course what you really need either deep knowledge about certain area of International Trade thanks to the high qualified tutors or you can just obtain general knowledge about International Trade which will definitely help you in your further career.

  • lkdungtestWhat does a Vietnamese trade practitioner lack? Exposure to ICC experts, exchange with colleagues working in 'big name' organisations, and especially important - real case studies from all over the world. I got all these invaluable resources from eBSI at a cost which was great value for money. And amazingly enough, studying from home I was able to get an internationally recognized certificate!

  • testipopovI am really glad I have successfully completed the course. It was very useful for me indeed - the fact I was undergoing a western international trade course helped me to find a better job at an innovative IT company already in the process of study. The marketing and e-commerce modules provided me with the relevant guidance for my every day activities in the new position and the comments from the tutors have been very useful, too. And certainly I enjoyed the friendly and student-oriented atmosphere of the online school.

  • sales-and-marketing

When I joined the eBSI, the company I work for was just building up its international sales department and we missed up-to-date information and experience. This programme gave us an overview of all the different fields to consider before going global. Though the program of your local Chamber of Commerce you can find specific learning units dealing with one geographical region or a dedicated law system but you sometimes miss the basis steps. The online learning is also a very comfortable way of going through the program at your own speed and without stress.
We already picked up some ideas to implement direcly in our own export plan.” August 3, 2007

  • review10The ITS Accreditation Programme is a golden opportunity to learn about International Trade. Communicating with eBSI tutors and the possibility to share opinions and views with fellow students meant that I really enjoyed and benefited from the learning process.
