Learning Unit Summary

The world economy has undergone profound changes over the last few years. These changes have changed what was previously a purely national trade into a global trade, where the whole world is one market. While you study this course, your PC was probably made in China, with Japanese chips and a North American operating system. You may even be wearing trousers made in Morocco, Italian sunglasses, and a Swiss watch. At dinner you may drink a Spanish wine or coffee from Kenya. Maybe you drive a European or Korean car. This is the reality today, this is globalization!

Testimonials

  • testsohailhussainIt gives me a great pleasure in getting successful completion of my ITS programme. And to this, once again I am extremely indebted to the entire team of eBSI for their constant support / guidance / help to make this possible for me. I would also like to extend my special gratitude to Mr. Vincent O’Brien for giving me this opportunity to be a an ITS through your esteemed institution. His encouragement guidance only allowed me to achieve this milestone. Thank you, Sir. Let me assure you that I will make full use of your online campus in improving myself and my fellow colleagues / friends. Once again I am extremely thankful for your all support and help.

  • dfinnertyrevMy experiences with the team from eBSI in 2003 were second to none, I found the ITS Accreditation extremely informative & interesting with a very high level of professionalism maintained throughout duration of course. The online sessions proved that a ‘class room’ environment can be achieved at your work desk or home study, while the occasional group meetings provided fantastic Q&A opportunities with the eBSI tutors.(and fellow students)
A very worth while and enjoyable experience.

  • testibokoI am currently undertaking the international trade specialist course delivered by elearning by the electronic business school of Ireland. It so far I can say that I like the course materials and the online support structure which allows me to fit my learning in when it is convenient for me. This is especially important for me given my many tasks in Nigerian Export Import Bank and other activities. I find the Finance course especially practical since I can post technical questions on forums and receive replies from ICC experts.

  • testcbroderickThe ITS Accreditation Programme is essential for anyone involved in international trade. The on-line sessions are excellent and allows you to clearly understand each topic with relevant examples and simple explanations. I found the CD Rom format excellent and very detailed and I have indeed referenced them many times regarding daily issues. I also found the Export Market Strategy and Incoterms 2000 particularly helpful. The fact that the programme is eLearning meant that it did not interfere with my work schedules and allowed me to study at my convenience. Most importantly, the professionalism of Vincent and his Team is outstanding...I highly recommend the programme.

  • “The eBSI course I followed in 2004/2005 changed my mind about remote learning; unlike some of the boring, largely unmotivating training I had taken previously, I found this course very stimulating and it encouraged me to delve even more into the complex area of global trade. Though I have never met Thomas personally, I feel I know him well through the interactive sessions and easy telephone/email access when and as needed. He comes across as a dynamic person, very knowledgeable in his area and who constantly strives to enrich and improve the approach to remote learningAugust 2, 2007

  • stkachenkotestI think this was a very useful experience for me and I found a lot of useful materials on CD and also during online sessions so it helped me a lot to summarize and develop my knowledge in the international trade. Your CD materials are very detailed and valuable.
I should like also to thank you for nice time I had with EBSI. Please be so kind to say my thanks to Vincent O'Brien as he brought this opportunity to Moldova.

  • review10The ITS Accreditation Programme is a golden opportunity to learn about International Trade. Communicating with eBSI tutors and the possibility to share opinions and views with fellow students meant that I really enjoyed and benefited from the learning process.

  • testnmeumieichievaI looked at traditional learning but with my busy work schedule it didn't suit me. With the eBSI course, I could study when I wanted. Some days I didn't study much, then other times I would sit down and do a lot all together - and there was always guidance and encouragement from the eBSI team... as well as deadlines for assessment submission!!! This helped me to keep a good study rhythm and to get the best out of the course. At the very least, the ITS qualification I have gained will be a very useful compliment to my banking experience on my CV!

  • I recommend Thomas and the work he has developed on the ITS program. I took the program about two years ago and it is a very well designed program which will give a sound knowledge on Export Market, E-commerce, Finance. It is very flexible and with a lot of support and a virtual campus where you can bring comments into it or enter the forum and read other users comments and discussions.
It is a home-based program which you can follow on your own time.
I really recommend the program to anybody interested in Export and the different issues around it.
