Learning Unit Summary

We are moving from an industrial to an information society, governed by the new economy - the digital or e-conomy. New opportunities, and also new threats, are emerging. Small players can compete with big ones as long as they are able to find their market niche. Many concepts that were valid in the traditional, bricks and mortar world will need to be reinvented taking into account the potential of the digital world. Somehow, this is all having an impact on society. In order to meet the digital challenge, companies must fully understand the nature of the new e-conomy.

Testimonials

  • review2My experience with the ITS course is that International Trade is NOT Commerce,Economics or Business Studies it is simply International Trade so having had diverse experience in Communication,Marketing and Public Relations,I still find the course a novel experience with each phase and module as challenging , stimulating and as rewarding as the others couple with the wizardry expertise, patience, and support of the Lecturers.

  • gmakowskitestAfter considerable research, I finally opted for this programme. It really does cover the fundamental aspects of International Trade in an innovative, relevent and above all practical manner. Tutors are highly experienced with excellent communication skills, and the online campus and student interaction is a major benefit. Highly recommended and very worthwhile indeed!

  • testvmoraruI graduated ITS accreditation in 2004. Living in the Republic of Moldova, it was so convenient to study this well-designed and interesting program! It is very useful to enlarge existing knowledge and to extend horizon with the specified practical issues for those persons wishing to improve their qualifications. The Exchange of experience and special networking between trainers (always happy to help you and to gave knowledge and advice) and students from different countries makes the program very valuable!
I truly recommend these studies for those willing to get interesting jobs, to fulfill professional duties at the highest level, and to became appreciated (and highly compensated) specialist.

  • testtcurridI found the entire course very beneficial as it allowed me to get a better knowledge of certain areas that were relatively new to our company. I also found the workshops and online sessions very interesting as they provided me with the opportunity to interact with the other participants and to hear their opinions on the topics discussed. The continuous assessment was an excellent method of reinforcing a lot of the material that I had studied on the CD Roms. The availability of a forum of the website is an excellent idea for any future queries that we may have and to keep up to date with the latest developments.

  • sales-and-marketing

When I joined the eBSI, the company I work for was just building up its international sales department and we missed up-to-date information and experience. This programme gave us an overview of all the different fields to consider before going global. Though the program of your local Chamber of Commerce you can find specific learning units dealing with one geographical region or a dedicated law system but you sometimes miss the basis steps. The online learning is also a very comfortable way of going through the program at your own speed and without stress.
We already picked up some ideas to implement direcly in our own export plan.” August 3, 2007
