Continuing eBSI's strategic development plan to expand its training offering to exporters and related sectors, eBSI signed a collaboration agreement with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport to market a hybrid version of the CILT's successful CD Rom based Certificate in Logistics which will be combined with eBSI's unique and highly praised online support and collaboration system to offer a highly practical and effective Logistics e-learning programme worldwide.

The Certificate in Logistics currently offered by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in Ireland has been developed as a distance e-learning certificate programme that enables participants to achieve a practical understanding and specialist knowledge in the key areas of Logistics leading to an accredited certification which is recognised internationally.The eBSI has partnered with CILT in the marketing of the Certificate in Logistics internationally through the eBSI’s distribution channels and web presence. eBSI is also providing value added services to compliment those already provided by CILT to create a high quality e-learning certification. The new CILT/eBSI Certificate in Logistics will have the following key benefits:

Online Support ServiceseBSI Online CampusCourse participants are supported by eBSI Learning Guides through the eBSI Online Campus. In the Online Campus participants can take part in discussion forums, exchange views, share their experience, post trade related queries and find additional material on the topics studied. Participants and Learning Guides can also communicate on the Online Campus by an internal private messaging system. ASSIGNMENTS AND ASSESSMENT ELEMENTSSuccess criteria are based on four assignment and assessment elements:- Module Evaluations, - Online Guided Discussions, - Three Written Essays, - Online Examination upon conclusion of the course. which are individually assessed as follows: Module Evaluations A series of challenging interactive assignments, called Open Exercises, are completed during the programme to verify and benchmark the assimilation and application of knowledge within each study module. Immediate feedback and subsequent continuous feedback is provided to participants by their Learning Guides. Online Guided Discussions Online guided discussions are scheduled and delivered by Learning Guides on essential International Trade topics on a regular basis. Transcripts of all online guided discussions are archived and transmitted to all participants within the same study stream. Written Essays Participants must submit three Written Essays as part of their course work. These are undertaken after every three modules and are administered by eBSI and assessed by CILT tutors. Online Examination Participants will be required to successfully complete an online examination set, administered and assessed by CILT prior to receiving the CILT Certificate in Logistics. COURSE ACCREDITATIONOn successful completion of the course, students are awarded the Certificate in Logistics by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland. Graduates will then be eligible to continue their studies with the CILT up to Degree level.Furthermore, graduates will join an international group of eBSI Alumni, which will allow for significant international networking and development possibilities.
